Non-Math Strategies

To help you be a better problem-solver (in the non-math part of math)

Note: These sessions are most useful and popular with all students, grades 6 to 12, 1st yr university.

Examples of sessions listed below:

  1. Learn how to learn

  2. Understand how to create up/good habits versus down/bad habits

  3. How to learn from your mistakes

  4. How to conquer that thought, "I don't feel like doing math"

  5. What you need to do to reach your math potential?

Higher level strategies

  1. How to be pro-active (aka procrastinate less)?

  2. Understand the process of setting a goal and attaining it (e.g. making a plan, obstacles to overcome, feedback on that journey). 

  3. Problem-solving (steps to solve a non-math problem)

  4. Becoming resilient (the skill of picking yourself up each time you don’t succeed).

  5. Understand why you give up, and what you can do to persevere 

  6. How to get motivated when you can’t get motivated?
